Vincent
P Celli is a partner in the firm. His areas of practice are Matrimonial
Law and related matters, Custody, Adoptions, Municipal Court, Domestic
Violence, Mediation, Arbitration and Appeals.
Mr. Celli has been in private practice since 1977. Prior to going
into private practice, he served as the Law Clerk to the Honorable
Neil G. Duffy, J.S.C., Superior Court of New Jersey, Family Division,
Essex County from 1976 through 1977. 
Mr. Celli was born in Brooklyn, New York on November 18, 1946.
He attended Rutgers College where he graduated with a B.A.,
with distinction, in 1968. He also attended Seton Hall University
where he graduated, cum laude, in 1976. Prior to attending law
school, Mr. Celli served as a Major in the U.S. Army on active
duty from 1969 through 1972, and in the reserves from 1972 through
1990. He was admitted to the bar of the state of New Jersey,
1976; U.S. District Court, District of New Jersey, 1978; District
of Columbia, 1981; U.S. Court of Appeals, Third Circuit, and
U.S. Supreme Court, 1982. He has also been trained as an arbitrator
and mediator by the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers.
He
has served as a member of the Zoning Board of Adjustment, East
Hanover, 1980-1982; Planning Board of East Hanover, 1983; Board
of Trustees- The Calais School, Whippany, 1987-2000; Judge of
the Municipal Court, Township of East Hanover, 1989-1993, Master,
New Jersey Family Law Inn of Court, 1993-1996; New Jersey State
Bar Association (Executive Committee, Family Law Section, 1991,
Child Abuse Protocol Committee, 1990-1992, Cause of Action Review
Committee, 1983); and the American Bar Association, Family Law
Section. He is an active member of Board of Trustees, Legal Aid
Society of Morris County, President 1993-1994; Volunteer Lawyers
Project, Legal Aid Society of Morris County; Master, Worrall F.
Mountain Inn of Court; New Jersey Association of Matrimonial Arbitrators,
Secretary/Treasurer; Sussex County Matrimonial Early Settlement
Panel; Morris County Matrimonial Early Settlement Panel, Board
of Trustees, 1989-1990; and is a Fellow with the American Academy
of Matrimonial Lawyers.
His
work has been reported in the cases of Neger v Neger 93 N.J. 15
(1983), Tweedly v Tweedly, 277 N.J. Super 246 (Ch. Div. 1994), and
Chen v Chen, 297 N.J. Super. 480 (Ch. Div. 1997). In addition,
he is the author of “Matrimonial Arbitration- An Old Technique
in a New Home” New Jersey Lawyer- The Magazine, November/December
1993. He has also been an instructor with the American Institute
for Paralegal Studies, 1979-1982; has lectured for the New Jersey
Institute of Continuing Legal Education, Domestic Torts Update,
1995, Hot Tips in Family Law, 1990-1991; the Association of Trial
Lawyers of America, Boardwalk Seminar, 1995, Matrimonial Trial
Academy, 1991-1992, Peoples Law School, 1991; and his local Bar
Associations.
